Bed affairs - Plumka Dstress

It's no secret, I love my bed room and sleeping as much as I love Netflix and books. As a many modern human, I also neglect my sleeping routine, by cutting hours of sleep, mostly for the sake of above mentioned hobbies.  Working long days and sleeping shorter nights, does show off  it's signs. I get cranky and wary and believe me, that's not a pleasant person to be around. From about two years back I also started suffering from headache's brought on by tension in my neck muscles. I started to pay more attention to my posture, while lying down, but it kept coming back.

Recently I was contacted by the Belgian brand Plumka that has been a pioneer of pillows and bedding since 1925 and offered to test one of their pillows. I chose the "Just DStress" pillow and I must say it has been a life changer. The pillow is made out of a soft latex material that morphs itself perfectly to give the support that the head and neck need. The pillow comes in a pillow case and you can't tell a difference of material without unzipping the case. I can tell that it's a night and day change compared to my Ikea pillow, though.

To make it a bit more exciting, I included myself in the pictures ;)
I'm not pretending to wake-up like this, but I do wake up feeling refreshed!

Furry slippers and Summer picnics

Unbelievable how we are mid-June and I'm just three months away from my wedding day.
Working full time and still try to prepare everything is not ideal, but we are slowly getting there. I may or may not be on a verge of a nervous breakdown, as the date is coming closer :)
The fact that I have never been to any wedding before, doesn't make it easier on me. I'm sure everything will work out just fine in the end.

Luckily my friends and fiance help to keep me sane. I guess it does show who your real friends are in times when you need help or just moral support. It can be as easy as just hanging out in the sun, with a drink in hand, when the sun is shining, surrounded by the people with whom you share an incredible bond and let it all go. These moments stay with you for a long time and so will the wedding.

Pink hair and tartan dress

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, but as my life keeps going as a fast train, I was lacking time to upload them. We are still waiting for warmer weather, so the pictures are still accurate. I'm longing for sunshine and my skin is back to it's palest state. Some time ago I managed to visit my favorite colorist Stephanie Kalin. I need it a vamp up so badly and after she worked her magic I left the salon feeling like a unicorn with my purple and pink hair. The color is much lighter on these pictures already, but I love how it changes wash after wash. It was exactly what I needed to loose that Winter blues.

Now I'm ready for warmer temperatures, so come on, weather gods!

Silver ankle boots, black coat and oversized sweater

I'm back with the first rays of sun. I wont' pretend, blogging during the Winter is a challenge for me, as I arrive home late from work, usually exhausted and without seeing much day light. Another 'perk' of cold weather is the driest possible skin. I feel like it gets worse every year, I have a dry skin overall, but the cold wind and heaters inside just drain it. Still trying to find a product that can hydrate it enough.
As I was slowly trying to recover from my Winter hibernation, the temperatures dropped again. We were lucky enough to have one day of +15°C and it was on my day off, hence the pictures.

I was also able to flaunt my new silver ankle booties, a Topshop sale find with a ridiculously low price. You know when you have this imaginary wishlist in your head of garments you want to add to your wardrobe? Well, silver ankle boots were on it for years and I'm happy I found a perfect pair without ruining my budget.
With the sales I also added this simple black coat to my ever-growing collection and I have been wearing it non-stop, too lazy to swap, because of how flattering and easy it is. The grey sweater is also a staple of mine, a merino blend that is super cosy and warm.

Also how long is my freaking hair?! It hits my waist when loose, I don't think it has ever been as long before. Need to cut it, though, as the ends got a bit battered over the last few months.
