Recently my blog turned 3 years old. Kind of hard to believe that my fashion baby already can walk and talk.
The time flew by, the baby has grown, but one thing stays the same: I still enjoy blogging as much as I did when I started it. As every parenting process, also this one has it's up's and downs, but we're here to learn.
To celebrate this little event, I'm organising a series of giveaways to thank my readers for sticking with me!

For the first giveaway I teamed up with the girls from Black Balloon.
Black Balloon is a young Belgian label with a distinctive style which they like to call 'Nouveau Chique'.
They're known for a total concept, they design and sell a coplete men and women collection which include shoes and jewelry. They also have a tailored made collection and beside that they also work business to business.
Make sure to visit their website and webshop at http://www.blackballoon.be/

With this giveaway you're making a chance to win a pair of their best known piece of jewelry,
a pair of hand made leather Urban African Queen earrings.

What you have to do:

1. Like my Facebook blog page or follow me on Twitter + follow me with Google Friend Connect ( if possible)

3. Leave a comment with your Facebook name and e-mail, so I can contact you in case that you win.

4. Make an extra chance to win by retweeting: 'Make a chance to win a pair of Black Balloon earrings at http://in-so-mnia.blogspot.com/2012/03/recently-my-blog-turned-3-years-old.html ' or share this giveaway on facebook. Make sure to leave an extra comment if you do so.

The winner will be chosen by a randon number generator.
The giveaway is open for international readers and ends on April 12  at 11pm (GMT +1)

Good luck!

Russian Doll

To celebrate the start of spring I decided to go full color. This is outfit probably combines more color than I wore in last 10 to 12 years. I must confess that I enjoy playing with color more and more.
I also diceded to give this outfit a folklore spin and bring out my Russian roots.
Nothing too old school, though, with my neon Primark extentions in my milk braid and some neon accessories. The dress that I'm wearing is from Zara. I bought it last year, but haven't had the chance to wear it yet. The first warm days seemed as a perfect occasion.
To not completely look like a walking circus I decided to wear a beige trench. I just love the pleats on the back, but sitting is a bit less practical. I'm a maniac when it comes wrinkles, so it's a battle every time I have to get up.
The pictures were taken by the lovely Annebeth at the Antwerp harbour. The sun was just about to set and we also had to hurry to the River Island event. We still had a great time (Annebeth, you so funny!). Only walking on pavements in heels, even kitten heels, proves to be hilarious every time.

So, you may call this outfit 'Neon Babushka', na zdorovie!

Isn't it romantic?!

Wearing: H&M trench and shoes, Zara dress, Kirilove for Vero Moda clutch, Russian scarf, Forever 21 bow ring, thrifted bangles, Soxi tights.

The Spring only started and it's already a busy time around here. I can't keep up with all my posts + college and internship. I'm also kind of sick at the moment, but despite how uncomfortable it is, I don't let it hold me back.
After this short reality check, let me take you on a trip under water. No, I haven't totally lost my mind here...
It's just that the girls from Oona invited us to a mini fashion show to celebrate the new River Island collection. The collection was based on Miami. This means hot days, bright colors and light garments. The theme of the evening was the underwater world. I love myself some theme events and parties, so I was a happy girl.

I must say I enjoyed the evening and the collection, but unfortunately the collection would definitely be more appropriate for Miami or some other city with warm temperatures. Belgium is known for it's lousy summers and even when the tempratures are high, it still not the same vibe that you get while on vacation.
I probably won't be going to warmer destinations this year, so all I can do is dream away.

It's all in cute details!

Those sunglasses rock big time!

So in love with that gorgeous hat!

Some snap shots

Most items that I liked, I found off the runway

I hope I'll find this dress in store, need it!

This jacket is also pretty neat, don't you think?

Blue on black

So, not much to say here as my last post has been just yesterday. I never could be that type of blogger that would post everyday. Even if I wanted to, I don't have the freaking time, really!
Anyhow, I have some nice posts lined up for next weeks. Can I tell you a little secret? There'll soon be two give aways , which I'm totally excited about! So stay tuned!

In the meantime I'm showing you my outfit that I wore to the Big You event last week. It was one of those first spring days. It was still chilly, but already sunny outside and that familiar spring feeling already kicked in. Everything suddenly looks brighter and better, I just love it. Leaving those dark winter days behind us.

This embroidered waistcoat has been hanging in my closet for years. I'm not even sure if I wore it already. It was just a piece that I had to buy, but, obviously, is not for daily use. I'm glad I bumped into it. The same with the blouse, I love it's pleats and that Klein blue. Apparently both pieces are the perfect match!

Wearing: Zara blouse and waistcoat, H&M jeans, Sacha boots, Black Balloon earrings, Michael Kors watch.

Lot's of cudos to Gilles for taking my pics, I think he did a wonderful job!

Last Thursday I was invited for an afternoon of fun at the Unlimited PR headquarters.
The event was called 'The Big You', and oh boy, BIG it was! The event presented all of the brands in a new light. By participating in different activities we learned more about the products and let our creativity out. I must say I was surprised by this interesting approach. It was a busy afternoon packed with activities and I definitely had a great time.

Our first stop was Swatch where we were encouraged to present the watch in a new way. I chose my two favorite colors, from the New Gent Lacquered collection, white and green and went for a fashion Rambo look.

Next stop: Rituals, a Dutch cosmetics brand which I absolutely adore! All off their products smell amazing and their make-up is of a great quality. Rituals products are also not tested on animals!
First we discovered the make-up summer collection by creating a face chart using the new products. I went for a summer night look with a hint of a blue smokey eye.

Afterwards we switched to Rituals perfume. There we discovered the basic flavors/notes of which perfume is made,  such as patchouli, sandalwood,... As I said before I'm a big Rituals fan so I was very happy to pick out one of their new fragrances to take home with me. I chose No. 04 Violet + White Lily, a wonderful light fragrance, perfect for spring.

Another nice activity was a Sacha photo shoot. Everyone chose a pair of their favorite shoes and posed for a picture, which, as by magic, turned into a jungle scene. I chose neon pink (my neon obsession won't go away) sneakers, which I already saw online. They were super comfortable and I'm considering adopting them. They also have them in neon yellow, sososo cool!

We also got a preview of the new spin on the DKNY 'Be Delicious' fragrances, 'Sweet Delicious'. The three new fragrances are all inspired by desserts and carry appropriate names such as: 'Creamy Meringue', 'Pink Macaron' and 'Tart Key Lime'. I like all three of them, but 'Pink Macaron' is my favorite. In Belgium they will be exclusively available at Ici Paris XL from April 16th. As you can see Lara Stone is yet again the face of the campaign. Love, love, love!

Pronails set a London tone as inspiration. I went for a rough underground look.

We also played Bingo, there were four chances to win a Kipling bag from the new collection of Andy. Unfortunately I didn't win :p

I want to thank Unlimited PR for this great afternoon. Also thanks to Annebeth from The Styling Dutchman for taking the pictures and always being such great company to be around. Check out her blog, she has some cool posts going on for wench week.
