Crop top with palazzo pants

Just a few quick lines before I'm off to Athens. I leave early tomorrow morning. All is packed, beloved cat is off to a hotel and me and mom are ready to go. On Saturday we'll be attending a wedding, daughter of my godmother is getting married, which is the main reason of our trip and after we'll be relaxing somewhere by the seaside. I must say I'm pretty excited as it's been a long time since we visited and I love Greece so much and I need some time just to relax on the beach.
I'll try to come back with enough pictures and a proper tan.

Gin Mare - Mobile Ibiza Detox

I'm sure that if we get asked: 'Which possession we couldn't live without?' Many of us would answer that we can't live without our smartphones. In the days of modern technology being 'connected' is a true addiction, from which I too suffer. I do my best to leave my smartphone aside during the weekends, to spend more quality time with my loved ones and enjoy the real life.
Especially during Summer time it's easier for me to leave my phone behind, at least for some time, but I can't imagine going without a phone for more than a few hours.

That's the main reason I was intrigued when Gin Mare contacted me with the press release of their 'First Daycare for Mobile Phones' which will be launched in Ibiza this September. The challenge is to disconnect and connect with life during a weekend detox. This with the help of meditation, dance, yoga and some delicious gin cocktails. Doesn't sound that hard, doesn't it? And for the unforgettable pictures you can bring your camera along.

To win a spot in the Daycare in Ibiza you can enroll on the website http://www.daycareformobilephones.com/en/ . First you'll need to past a detox test of 72h without your smartphone. To help you to resist the temptation  you will get a stress kit sent home. It contains a special compartment where you can put your mobile to rest and a personalized hashtag, so friends can send you encouraging messages through Twitter and Daycare site., which you can read after.
The ones with the most messages on both platforms will win a detox weekend in Ibiza.

You can enroll in the detox challenge until the end of June if you're a citizen of Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Germany or UK.
I'll do my best to resist the challenge and good luck to you too!

Tartan dress & leather jacket

We've been getting that good weather we hoped for, but as always in Belgium, we get some cooler periods in between the sunny days. I an wear the same leather jackets or boots in Winter and in Summer, so unpredictable the weather is here. Unfortunately I don't get to wear my Summer clothes nearly enough and don't tend to invest in them for the same exact reason.
There's also no such thing as clearly defined seasons anymore, 'hello' global warming!

My new transitional item is this tartan dress. How many times I tried to leave that 'school girl' look behind me, it doesn't work. I keep on wearing it, as long as I get away with it. It's not that I miss my students day, especially not the homework! What I miss is being creative, as it used to be a part of my education. Now, with a full time job, there's so little spare time left.
The funny thing about the outfit pictures is that they were taken near an actual school building.

Coats in Spring

Anyone noted any positive change in the weather lately? Well, I didn't. It's officially the first on June today, but the warm weather is still absent. I hope Summer won't be a major disappointment (it usually is, though). As it's not been very warm, except for some days, I've been mostly wearing my mid-season wardrobe of coats and leather jackets. I've got a new Romwe number, that's been in high rotation lately. It even been to Moscow with me, but ironically enough, it was too warm to wear it there during the most days, so I kept it for chilly evenings. I like how versatile it is, with it's blue greyish color and some gold accents. It has rather a light shade, so appropriate for Spring, but still warm with it's padded lining. I'm clearly not that kind of person who will go out bare legged under +20C.

So far with the positive vibes. I'm sure to see some sun soon, as just in two weeks I'll be going to warm Greece, for a wedding and small vacation. In the meantime I'm working on a faux-tan to get rid of the pale legs.
