So after posting my realistic wishlist a while ago, I decided to get crazy and dream a little. Ok, a lot. We all wonder how it is to be rich sometimes, well at least those who aren't rich already. It's not a secret that I'm kind of bad at saving money, but I'm working on it. It isn't my goal to be rich, but we all like to dream away. And this is how this wishlist came to life. I'll probably never be able to afford most things on it, unless some distant rich relative leaves me a big fat inheritance. But I suppose the chances of it are non-existing. Or I could win a lottery, off course you have to participate first, but still... Or just start saving up money.

In the mean time we just can have fun while making these endless wish-wishlists.

On top of it is a shearling biker jacket and the Proenza Schouler PS1 bag. I'd also buy me a pair of Alexander Wang's Simona sandals, probably in different colors. Because I can! Also, being a huge jewelry addict, I'd add some sparkle to brighten up the day.

About the iPhone, I already decided that it'll be my next cell phone. But for now I'm still ok with my pink Nokia. Who knows, maybe somewhere this year or next year it'll be mine. Better save up :)

So my exams result in some irregular posting. I'm glad to be distracted by the internet, but two last weeks I've been pretty exhausted and a little sick, again. So I needed to focus on studying and this was already hard enough. All of the people who have exams now, I feel you! I already did 4 out of 7 and they all went well. Let's hope the last ones will too!

But still, a girl needs to have some fun. So me and my best friend met up in Antwerp last week. We visited an exhibition of a famous Belgian photographer Marc Lagrange, ate some sushi and shopped a little. And boy, did we have fun. We usually do when we're together, but still, extra fun this time. We both really needed that, because it's not always all bright and shiny over here... But we always try to stay positive, don't we?!

On the shopping part... I'll show you my sale purchases at the end of the month. I'm not planning to buy anything, but I know myself...

I wanted to show you the pictures I snapped at Marc Lagrange's exhibition.

The exhibition was held in a beautiful mansion in Antwerp and celebrated the 20 years of his work.

The exhibition got me dreaming of living in that house and being his model. Well, what can I say, a girl can dream! Marc Lagrange can always call me to pose for him. That'd be a dream come true for sure.

Time to snap out of it, back to reality zone. I'll just let the pictures talk for themselves. My snaps don't do the whole exhibition justice. I just wanted to channel the general mood.

As you can see I do my level best to update frequently. Although I must be studying...

January is a month when I don't leave the house very often, due to exams.

It's not such a bad thing, because December is a very busy month. All of the college dead lines, combined with a high stress level and afterwards all the holiday parties, leave me exhausted at the end of December.

December not only holds Christmas and New Year, but for me it's also my birthday.

All this means getting and giving presents. I equally love both. Actually, I love giving more as it holds, carefully planning and searching for the right presents. The last month has been, what you can call, fruitful on that level.

So I decided to show you some of the presents I got from friends and from myself too :)

So, this is a present I bought for me, yes. I wanted this watch for about three years. I know it's very popular among bloggers, but I wasn't aware of that at that moment. Anyhow, it's a classic silver watch that suits almost anything. It's also the first thing from the recent wish list that I posted. Check! I wasn't used to wear a watch, but now I can't take it off!

On the right are the beautiful Swarovski earrings I got from my best friend, they sparkle like crazy! Bliiing!

On the bottom a bracelet from Butler & Wilson. My boyfriend made me choose my present for Christmas.

They have it in different sizes and colors, so the choice wasn't easy. The bracelet was also on my wish list. Ok, I cheated, because it was already ordered by the time I made it :p So, check again! Pretty sure I'll buy the gold one too!

My boyfriend also gave me a book about Radio Modern, a Belgian retro party organization. More about it soon. He also gave me a new pair of leather gloves, from COS and the Adele dvd, love*

Maybe you recognized that green box, it's from La Durée. My best friend bought it for me in Paris.

The macarons didn't survive long enough to take pictures of, but the box will be a perfect for jewelry.

I can't tell you how happy I am with everything I got that last month.

And these are the cuff links I got for my boyfriend. They're also from Butler & Wilson. He didn't know that at the time I ordered the bracelet, but now we have matching accessories :)

Today I want to finally show you the pictures from the 'Dream The World Awake' exhibition of Walter Van Beirendonck. Last September, I guess the time flies, I was invited to the opening night of the exhibition.

At the start of the evening Walter gave a speech to the audience, which was huge.

I must say I was very impressed by the exhibition. I already saw many different art and fashion exhibitions but this one was different. I liked the special approach to it. Not only it displays some of Walter's best work, but also shows his personal side. The collection of different toys, art, cartoons gives a little insight into his personality.

My favorite part of the exhibition is the room where his office is rebuild. Walter has a large collection of toys and in that office you can see a part of it. The girl that helped to build the exhibition is a fellow blogger, Christin.

Well, she told us it was a hell of a job to clean all that toys :)

Anyways, I can go on about it for a long time, but I have to study. If you live in Belgium or nearby and you love witty fashion, make sure to give that exhibition a look! It's still open till 19/02/2012 at MoMu Antwerp

This is it, the first outfit of the new year.

Nothing major here, 'cause most of the time I'm just stuck at home, studying.

Though I still managed to escape to shop some sales last week. Being an impatient girl that I am, I couldn't wait to wear my new finds. Among them this black dress with a white collar. I dreamed of it for a long time.

Such dress is perfect for dress ups and the days when you feel extra girly. I found this one at an incredible price, the last one in my size. I tell you, it was fate!

Seeing this dress two themes immediately pop up in my head. The first one is Wednesday Adams and the second one is just a proper girl from an English boarding school. In this outfit I went for the second one.

As we all know, life isn't just black and white and there's no such thing as good or bad (at least in most cases).

As for me I don't consider myself an angel, nor am I the devil in the flesh. Being honest, I'm more of a good girl, but with a hell of character. Not being a goody two shoes I decided to mix up this outfit with some boots.

Not going to waste much words on them, that has been done enough. Just wanted them for a long time, due to lack of money only bought them before Christmas. Not the real ones, off course. They're just practical and go with almost anything. Good enough for me.

So as they say, good girls go to heaven and bad girls go everywhere. I believe you just have to have some courage and be daring enough in life.

If this outfit may be considered 'virtue' I'm planning on showing the other side of the medal soon...

So, here it is, the new year!!

We celebrated it with a bang and in style, the night was roaring!

The twenties is one of my favorite era's, so the dress code couldn't have been more appropriate.

The merry Nathalie from The Merrymakers was the hostess of the night and oh, what a great night it was.

Surely one to remember. We had major fun, ate a lot and danced like the world was going to end.

That's how a party must be!

By now I can hardly fit into my jeans, from all that eating. It never ends. And the orthodox Christmas is coming up this weekend. This means even more food. Oh, God...

So, this is good bye!

Nobody likes them, unless it's about saying good bye to the old year. Welcoming the new one is all about hopes, promises and good resolutions. I don't like to make many resolutions, only focusing on the important ones. Those that are realistic too :) I must say the resolutions of the past year have been successful. I even managed to hit my goal weight this year. Though the holiday foods sure we'll bring change to it! Or they already did.

The past year has been great on a personal level, sometimes challenging on the level of studies. But I just can't be happier to be alive, healthy and being surrounded by loved ones. These are the most important things!

I only wish that this will continue the next years to come!

Still, this being a fashion blog of some sort, I couldn't do without some material stuff, right?!

Here's my 'realistic' wishlist for next year. The stuff I can actually buy and plan on buying.

First of all a Michael Kors watch. I've been wanting one for three years already and hope it'll soon be mine.

Also a red biker jacket, still on the look out for it. For the rest some nice bling to add to my jewelry collection.

With a new year in sight, it was time for a slight change.

My classes are done for this year and I pretend to have free time. So I decided to clean up my blog a bit.

To start with a fresh page in 2012. No major changes, as you can see, just a little fresh-up.

Hope you all like it or otherwise... I, for sure, have to adapt to it. Choosing a font must be the hardest thing, still not sure which one to keep. U're welcome to share your ideas on the lay out matter :)

As for the new year. I already know that it'll be a hard year. With graduation in sight, I must make an effort to finish my college year well. Many plans are on the 'to do' list. Exams, internship, thesis, driving license, hitting the job market, ... too much to name. Making time for my blog in the meantime... This year will sure be a challenge, but I don't say no to challenges. So wish me good luck. Off course there're also pleasant things to look forward to. The first one is celebrating the coming year with dear friends!

And the spring will bring a big change to my life, I can't wait to tell you more about it.

For now, as promised, pictures of my Christmas outfit. I wanted to wear color, and as we know, red is very Christmassy. It wouldn't be me, if I hadn't put a twist or a theme behind it. This time I went for a Chinese inspired look. The red dress with the flowers set the tone and my Asian heritage completed the look.

Merry Christmas, dear readers!

Christmas and New Year's Eve are my favorite holidays. A time to spend with family and close friends. I'm also a fetishist when it comes to the decorations. A beautiful Christmas tree makes me a one happy girl.

I had a wonderful time at a family dinner today. We laughed, enjoyed each others company, unwrapped presents and ate a lot of yummy food. Hope all of you had a nice Christmas too!

So today is my birthday, I'm turning 24.

Time flies fast and before you know it, adult life is here. With it come responsibilities and a serious lack of time.

I really hope I'll be able to post back on a regular basis. I really miss my blog and keeping up to date with all my readers.

Today I also had my very last real class ever, or at least I hope so. You can't even believe how happy I am. In January I'll start with finals and afterwards an internship.

This period has always been kind of bad to have a birthday, the time of the exams and dead lines. But I can't complain. I don't really celebrate my birthday, only with close friends, my mom and lover. I just try to make time to see them and catch up. With all the other holidays around the corner, they'll be plenty of time to party.

Every year I'll end up being spoiled by my loved once. No, I don't get a car, like in those crazy American programs, but still there's plenty of attention. My best friend even made me sushi today. I think I don't have to tell you how people at the college cafeteria are looking at us when we enjoy our sushi during a break.

I'll try to do a post with the presents after the holiday season is over.

Now something about the outfit. I combined all my favorite items that I have been wearing lately. This Daydream Nation cardigan is perfect to warm me up during the cold days and is quiet an eye catcher. A pleated midi skirt has been on my wish list for a long time and a few months ago I got lucky at T2 vintage store. I also have been searching for the famous Moschino letter belt for a long time and finally found one for a great price online. So everything thrown together makes this:

Just every time when I think that the good weather must be over, we get another great weekend. Although it's much colder already, the sun still pays us a warm visit. Still, fall and winter time means getting ill a lot for me. It has always been that way and it's not different this year. Due to a lot of pressure at college my migraine has escalated to ugly proportions. But I'm not going to let this post turn into a complaint.

Today is friday 11th, people all over the world are making wishes, hoping they'll come true. Our biggest wish just came true, but we just need it to be confirmed. In the mean time we keep on dreaming and planning our near future. And soon there'll be some big changes in our lives. Speaking about change, it was time for a new lay out. I planned to use the 'Classic' view, but the comment section refused to work. So I'll be using this one, probably temporarily. I like the simple lay out, after all those time, it was time for a change.

Oh, it's also the start of a long weekend for me. I won't be going to college till wednesday! Yaaay! That explains the happy pictures. Good weather + vacation + a preppy outfit = one happy girl

This outfit was, yet again, inspired by a preppy school style. I took my Union Jack Doc's for a spin. I bought them a while ago from a girl for a ridiculous price. They are in a mint condition. I must say, I'm very happy with how this outfit has turned out. It's full of different details, the pleats, polka dots, the head band and the bow tie, but I think it makes a nice union. Girls just wanna have fun, that's what this is about!

To the fall

Yes, you're not mistaken, it is I, the worlds biggest blog neglecter!

I hope you missed me, because I certainly missed blogging.

The're many reasons why I've been of the radar. I'm in my last year of college, I picked up a new hobby (burlesque dancing) and besides it all I try to maintain a personal life. It all translates to a major lack of time, but I refuse to give up any of it. To be honest, the college part is suffering the most, but I'm used to play with fire in that department.

Though through all the ups and the lows I'm still a very happy girl. My lover and my friends couldn't be more supportive and that's what counts. Also, the weather has been treating us extremely good. You can find the most beautiful spectrum of colors outside and the temperature is still warm. The colors are mesmerizing, it feels like a fall fairy tale.

With having a long weekend me and my bf made some trips and a little shopping at Brussels and Antwerp.

We saw our friends and had a lovely time together. It's times like these that I try to remember every day.

Oh my Goth!

The fall is here and black is back from never going away. Much is change, but many things are still the same. Everyone needs some security to hold on to.

With this post I wanted to talk about the Goth issue. Many of you have probably noticed that the Goth image is more popular than ever right now. Fragile girls and boys wearing black torn clothes, adorned with crusifixes are a popular fenomenon. Today they're called nu-goth. Ok, so people love labels, and just plain 'Goth' not being enough, they decided to freshen it up. As fresh and 'new' as it may be, it get's a bit confusing for people who actually know something about the subculture. Don't get me wrong, I'm only happy to see these creatures on my computer screen, name or no name. I, myself, was never a fan of labels and I refuse to categorize myself under any of them. If you really want to push me in box, you can call me alternative, I will not go further. I like too many different styles of music and dressing to fit into any category. I just have the freedom to be myself, every day, without feeling limited. And hope you do the same.

I do, definitely have a dark side, as I was always a lover of the macabre. So, this is another reflection of it.

Imagine, the woods, a hill with a small chapel on top, before it Jesus on the cross. Sounds like a beginning of a horror movie. But it isn't. The place looks just like I described it, and we pass it almost every weekend on our way home. It's mesmerizing, calm and peaceful. I wanted to shoot there for a long time and finally the moment has come. The outfit was just right. A little nostalgic, a little dark.

I wanted to take my new dress from Forever 21 out. I looked for a perfect polka dot dress for ages. Combined with a little retro hairdo, and round sunglasses added a little edge to it, but still stayed romantic.

I'm happy with how the pictures turned out. The moment was just right, it was not too sunny or clouded, the forest was empty and still green. It was so calm and quiet. For a moment I just felt free of the daily world, routine and business of life. A place like this is kind of a sacred ground for me. It may be a surprise, but I'm religious. Only I don't discuss this part of my life, as it is considered private to me.

Some day, I'll return there, for some new pictures, or just to take a walk.

Opening Forever 21

So, here're the pictures of the brand new Forever 21 store that recently opened in Antwerp.

Me and many other fellow bloggers got the chance to check out the store before it opened to large public.

Everyone was very excited and overwhelmed by the size of the store. 5000², three levels, of shopping heaven.

We also received a voucher of 50 euro's, so the hunt was on. The funny thing is that I lost some people out of sight ,during my two hour shopping spree, and never saw them back. That must give you an indication of how large the store really is.

I must say I say I really liked what I saw, not only is the interior very impressive, but also many of the items.

There's something for everyone, you just drown in clothes, shoes and accessories. Not always easy to take your pick with so much goods luring at you! One of the biggest pluses of the store are the super large fitting rooms with a large mirror and a decent door. I just hate curtains!!

I liked the store way better than the one in Brussels, a wider range of styles and lack of hundreds of people was probably the reason.

I'll be going back for sure. There are plenty of colored jeans and necklaces waiting to find a home.

Lane Starkes designer Margerita Sanders stelt tijdens DSGNRMRKT haar collectie OTTO voor! De collectie bestaat uit supercute diertjes uit leder gemaakt. OTTO is een palindroom en zo beschouwt Lane Starke haar tassen ook. Wat eens een koe, geit of varken was wordt na vele omzwervingen hersteld in waarde in de vorm van een konijn, vogel of hertje. De beestjes zien er levensecht uit, zeker als je ziet dat de voering van de tasjes bedrukt zijn met een handgeschilderde ingewandenprint en sommige tasjes een hartportemonneetje hebben. Creepy en/of cute? Come and find out!

Lane Starke’s designer Margerita Sanders will be presenting her OTTO collection at the DSGNRMRKT. This collection is made of leather bags in the form of very cute animals. OTTO being a palindrome, Lane Starke attributes the same characteristics to her bags. What was once a cow, goat or pig is eventually transformed into a rabbit, bird or deer. They look very much alive and inside the bags are lined with prints of organs. Some bags even have a heart-shaped purse inside. Creepy and/or cute? Come and find out for yourselves!

Essentiel fall/winter 2011

I must admit Essentiel is becoming one of my favorite Belgian brands.

Especially their catchy accessories and shoes have been giving me sleepless nights.

Off course I need a huge budget, which I don't have, let me make that clear. But still, a girl can dream, a lot.

I've been craving more color lately and the pieces I selected for this post really reflect that.

A red line Part II

So, here's the promised second version of the outfit. I used the same red jeans and bag, but the total look is totally different. Good girl turns bad, Rebel Without a Cause, rockabilly,... all these can be an inspiration for this outfit. I have many band shirts in my possession, though I don't wear them that often, or not for outfit posts maybe. Still, I like to give a twist to it. This shirt, from the Danish/American psycho/rockabilly band called Horrorpops. It's one of my first, and most favorite band shirts. I bought it at their gig in Belgium. There I also had a chance to meet the members, have a chat and take a picture. In those days, the singer of the band, Patricia was a real idol to me. I even had a similar hair style, bleached hair on both sides of my head. It took me years to grow it out and I lost a lot of hair due to bleaching. Still, those were fun times :)

The shirt still looks as good as new, because I haven't wore it that much. But it looks like those jeans and shirt were made for each other. The red combines perfectly with the popping colors of the shirt.

One thing this outfit is missing, is a red lipstick. But, believe me, all eyes were already on me, even without it.

Also, it was way too warm for red lipstick, or this outfit in general. But there I was.

The jacket wasn't even needed, but I wanted to show it anyway. I had it for so long, even longer than the shirt. And I love how washed out it is. It slowly turns into a patch jacket. The first one is Marilyn Manson. Also, a beloved artist of mine.

No doubt, this will be a combination that I'll wear again.

A red line

This weekend treated us with the last pieces of summer. It was very warm, even hot. But still I couldn't wait to wear my new red pair of jeans from Forever 21. I was looking for a perfect pair for a long time and finally found one at the preview of the store. The jeans are really nice and also very cheap, around 15 euro's.

I wore them two days in a row, something I have to do when I'm at my boyfriends house.

I did two completely different outfits with them and captured it. I really like the contrast between these two outfits. It outplays different aspects of my personality. The first one represents my sweet side, which all my friends know. The second one shows my tough girl side and the 'don't mess with me' attitude.

I like them both.

To start with the first one. It's a fun holiday outfit which is perfect for the summer of our parts of Europe.

I was inspired by France and Paris, my beloved city. I just can see myself strolling around the cosy streets on a sunday afternoon. Unfortunately Paris isn't where I live, but still I try to capture and channel it's spirit once in a while. Combined with the striped nautical top and a straw fedora hat for a finishing touch.

Our kitty always comes to check what we are up to when we take outfit pictures. She's just such a curious attention seeker.

Land of Gods

About one month ago I went on vacation with my boyfriend to the sunny island of Rodos.

Although Rodos counts as a part of Greece, it's much closer to Turkey, you can even see the coast from one side of the island.

It was such a nice break, just sun see and quality time. No worries, no appointments, no fashion. Yes, no fashion, you read it right. It was too hot to dress up. We had a really good time and we'll probably go back one day. There's just too much beauty there. The island is special because it's not only a tourist island, but has many historic sights and buildings that remain from many different era's. Rodos was an important travelling route through the ages. So many of the cultures left their mark on the island. Ancient Greek temples, Knight residences from the Middle Ages, Mosques from the Turkish Invasion, Italian churches,... all of these elements are built next to each other in a strange harmony. Sometimes it appears that you're on a movie set of a historical blockbuster.
For me it was the perfect vacation destination, culture, history and sun combined. I love the Greek culture and history. The food is amazing too! I have family in Athens, so it isn't the last time I'll be visiting that wonderful country.

My style constantly balances between different looks.

One of my beloved styles is ladylike vintage styles.

Last week I received this wonderful jacket from Daydream Nation from one of my favorite bloggers Barbro.

I was the lucky winner of her giveaway. The jacket is so warm and soft that I wanted to wear it immediately.

What I like the most about it is it's edge in it's details. The fur trim and the studs.

As I was attending a cabaret event, nothing was over the top. So pulled out a fancy dress and my new pumps and my new Ray-Ban sunnies. I'm absolutely in love with them. It's a vintage model from the 80s called Laramie. It has a slight cat eye effect to the usual Wayfarer model.

I think girls don't dress up quiet enough, these days. Many of them just follow each other, walking around like clones. I always was a fan of personal style. These days it's more jeans and a shirt, than a nice dress and heels. Kind of boring if you ask me. It's funny, because so many people are overwhelmed when they see me and my friends all dressed up. For us it's just normal and this is how it should be.

I'd rather drop dead than wear sneakers to the restaurant. But here, in Belgium, it's not such a rare sight. Believe me or not. Many women forgot what it is to look at it's best. Such a shame...

River Island Preview X-Mas collection 2011

Tuesday we were invited by the wonderful pr girls from Oona to attend the preview of the X-Mas collection of River Island. The event held place at their own offices in Antwerp.

The collection was all about reinventing the Christmas classics. 70s chique was main trend. Bold colors and accessories, flared palazzo pants, lace, embroideries and fake fur are the keywords. With these elements you are sure of being the centre of attention during the holiday parties. River Island is relatively new on our Belgian market, it's becoming well known fast. Their take on trends is interesting and there's is a big variety of accessories and bags to accompany the clothes. There's still some work on the quality of some garments.

I must admit there were a few pieces I really fell in love with some of the items, especially the blue pleated midi skirt. I'll be on the hunt for it soon.

It was a very warm evening with a lot of lovely fellow bloggers. I was nice to see you all again!

A rare flower

Already a month passed from the day she died and it still feels kind of surreal.

There will be no more new records, never will that beautiful voice sing again.

She was troubled, a tortured soul. But she might have had a bright future ahead of her.

She was half way through, it's sad she didn't make it.

But she will be remembered, already a legend, as all of the others that are gone too soon.

This is a tribute to the one and only Amy Winehouse. The photographs are by Hedi Slimane who really captured her soul in them.

Too cool for school

And finally, I'm back from my, what it seemed, blogging break.

As I previously told I went on vacation to Rodos, a wonderful Greek island very close to Turkish coast.

The pictures from the trip are yet to come.

I came back tanned, but, unfortunately to bad weather. Was ill and busy.

But here I am!

It seemed like time for a new outfit. And here it is.

I decided to return, with what, I guess, must be one of my signature looks through the few past years: The School Girl Look. My fascination with school uniforms began at an early age of seven. From that age till I was 13 I wore a black and white uniform at my school. We could choose between any white blouse or sweater and a black skirt, so it was still fun.

I moved to Belgium where I never had to wear a school uniform again, but my love always remained. An early age fetish that's there to stay. I don't think I'm not going to be able to pull that look off when I hit my thirties, but that gives me still a lot of years to play.

I was immediately in love with that Zara blouse when I saw it hit the stores. Unfortunately it sold out pretty fast. Great was my relieve when I found it in the sales. It has everything I love, green and stripes! I don't have to tell you by what collection it was inspired and I decided to add some orange nails to add that extra reference ;)

This preppy, sporty college outfit was entirely bought during the sales. Budget shopping wise! (Also the one from my previous post)

Summer at last

The weather, here we go again, yes, has been crazy for the past month. Rain and clouds represented the early fall. Sun and rain and the heat. It's really confusing. The best months are already behind us, those were april and may. A very early summer. Tomorrow I'll be in Greece, at the island of Rhodos where a real summer awaits me.

I can't wait for this vacation to start, I really need to get out for a few days.

In the mean while semi summer outfit.

Forward to the past

As girl who had long hair for the biggest part of her life, you can't stop imagining

how you'd look with short hair.

I refuse to cut my hair off. Many people admire my hair. I'm just blessed with the most straight hair, that's naturally healthy. Although I dye my hair from the age of 14. My current hair color resembles my natural hair color, a faint red shine is still there. I used to have dark red hair for a long time.

I wanted to try out the 20's waves hairstyle. This is how it all started. My hair almost reaches my waist now, and for this hair style you need to have a short bob. I first put the wave in my hair with a curling iron and pinned my hair away at the back. I was surprised that it actually worked, this was the first time I tried this hair style.

To finish the look I did a dark 20's make-up. My outfit, on other hand, was more 40's meeting current times.

Clashing era's doesn't bother me. I like to experiment with looks and styles.

I received many nice compliments that night.

Lately I've experimenting with a lot of different hair styles and the waves will surely be used again one day!

" Wake up, before it gets Winter "

"Wake up, before it gets Winter" is a collection of Julie Van den Berghe, a student at Fashion Academy of Ghent. The previous years she already showed to be a talented and promising student. This is her graduate collection of third bachelor. It was my favorite, so i decided to feature it here.

There're several things I like about it. Obviously the amazing color palette of pinks and reds. Sheer blouses in combination with heavy knitting. I'm not sure if I mentioned it before, but knits are one of my favorite materials.

This collection combines perfect aspects of winter, but also summer. There isn't much difference in the Belgian weather, if u ask me...

The killer shoes and metal leaf are the perfect finishing touches for these ensembles.

So the latest challenge of Project Blogway is "Kate Moss".

I sure do love her and she's definitely an icon. But when it comes to looks we're two opposites.

I've never been and never will be as skinny as she's, nor will I be blond. Still I admire her nonchalant rock'n'roll meets boho style. And I tried to play it out with this outfit. Skinny jeans is one of her trade marks and a floaty blouse ads a relaxed edge to this look.

The second challenge of Project Blogway was Rock Chick was another subject that's really close to my heart.

I don't claim to be a rock chick or any other type of girl for that matter, but still it's another image that suits me well. I didn't have to look long for my outfit. I could've made a dozen of different ones for this theme with the clothes for my wardrobe. But I wanted to use my "Balmains" again. I'm not for knock off designs, but couldn't just let to buy these beauties. I got them on ebay and I must say they look pretty good!

Forever 21 Pre-Party Party

Great news for us, Belgian fashion lovers, Forever 21 is coming to our small country.

Two major stores will be opening, first one in Brussels (30 July) and the second one in Antwerp (August).

A big event was organized to celebrate this great news. Lot's of bloggers and press enjoyed a hologram show of the new collection and a great party which ended with a bang on the sounds of Belgian Electropop band Teddiedrum who played a live gig.

This was a party I'll remember for a long time, lot's of nice people, great music and delicious cocktails.

What more can a girl need for a great night out?! The hologram show was pretty impressive. Glad I had a chance to see it with my own eyes. But pretty hard to catch on camera.

Me again! I'm having vacation, aka the time of my life.

I just spend the weekend at Graspop, one of the biggest metal festivals of Europe.

Thanx to a great opportunity I will be going to Werchter too. But more about this later.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough the two first days, so I didn't risk to take my camera with me.

On the third day I was just plain lazy.

I'll probably take my camera with me this weekend, so I can show u some pictures.

But about something else now. I'm a participant in a new Belgian bloggers initiative called "Project Blogway".

Each week the bloggers take outfit pictures around a chosen theme.

The first theme of the contest was the 50s.
I was very glad with the chosen theme, because the 50s are one of my favorite decades.
And nothing let's u feel as feminine as pin-up look.
I know some of you have seen a few pictures I send in already, but I want to show u some more.
Because I had so much fun shooting this look. I just had to wear my favorite leopard print for this outfit!
It was actually quiet funny, because it was shot in between two rainfalls. And we were kind of waiting for the rain to stop to take the pictures. Weather is kind of unpredictable here.

I'm finally free of my exams and studying, just can't believe it!

So, this weekend was one to celebrate it.

Saturday we went to the fashion show of the Antwerp Fashion Academy.

It was inspiring, as always. Afterwards we went to the after party at Ra, the place was packed with the most fashionable people. We soon moved the party to a gay club where we danced till the sun came up.

I enjoyed this night so much, being with your friends and care free, even when u're dead tired.

And again I chose black that night, continuing my pirate theme, I guess :)

In time of exams one doesn't always find times to relax, but I made it obligatory.

No more studying till I drop or not seeing friends for weeks.

So yesterday, after just having four hours of sleep that night, I met with my best friend.

We always end up doing the same, having lunch, shop, take pictures and off course chatting.

Always having a nice time.

Afterwards me and my boy went out for dinner and a movie.

We finally watched the new Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides.

Well, you maybe already see it coming... I felt inspired by the pirate theme.

Though I didn't went for full on pirate gear, I had the idea in the back of my head while choosing.

I call this look Pirate-Chique :)

Off course this was the perfect opportunity to wear my new boots too. I like the fact that it's a overall black look, while the previous one was white. I'm all about contrasts, I guess...

I must admit that I loved the movie. Witty Johnny Depp just keeps on surprising and the beautiful Penelope is a nice addition! And you've got to love Gemma Ward as the evil mermaid!!!

Despite the tiredness and the exam of that day, I had a nice time.

How far is Olymp?

This weekend has been hot again. Another opportunity to work on my tan.

I went from vampire like white skin, to olive in just two months. Thanks to an early trip to Tunisia and the remarkably good weather in Belgium afterwards. It's still quiet unusual to see myself in a mirror or on pictures and not looking pale after all those years. Having my tan is like going back to my roots, my native country is famous for it's hot weather. So I always had sun kissed skin in childhood.

So, what's there to wear on hot summer day when u already have a tan. White!

I rarely wear white and don't have a lot of white items in my wardrobe.

For this outfit I was inspired by Greece, country that I love very much. And more specific by Greek mythology.

What woman doesn't want to be a Goddess ones in a while? So I just went for it, well at least tried :)

I bought this tunic last year from H&M Against Aids collection. But the weather wasn't that good anymore and I lacked a tan. So yesterday was the first time I wore it.

I combined it with my most favorite sandals, which are very Greek-like, and silver jewelry I bought in Tunisia.

I maid little braids on the side of my head and pinned across the back of my head to finish the look.

I kept my make-up in gold shades for a more natural effect. Avoiding black eyeliner is a big task for me, but I succeeded.

The time of finals is here again. I just had my first one yesterday and I think it went ok.

Afterwards I met with my best friend for lunch and some shopping. On the to buy list were the boots from Sacha that I've seen last week while in Antwerp. I fell in love with them, but hadn't had the time to try them on. Gladly they had them in Ghent too.

While in the store I bumped into the Belgian male model, Cesar Casier. It's a small world when u live in Belgium.

I looked for such boots for a long time. They're not classical biker boots, but do come close to them. Can't wait to wear them, I have already many different outfits planned in my head.

The boots make noise too, thanks to all the metal details on them. They're like wearing jingle bells :)

I have a confession to make here, I'm a major accessories addict. I have ton's of them lying and hanging around or stored in boxes.Unfortunately I don't have enough space to put all of them on display, so I forget about some of them for a long time.But still...

These are some of my new finds. The first four from the left are from I Am, the dreamcatcher on the right is from H&M. I'm proud of myself because I managed to wear three out of five necklaces already :)

Well, this one was an ugly duckling itself, additional to this necklace was some beige layered laces that ruined the whole thing. No wander a lot of the necklaces were hanging in the sale section.

I always love to read and try to do so often. I mostly read while on my way to college, on the train.

Taking a break from the True Blood series I started to read the autobiography of Slash, that I borrowed from my boyfriend. I love to read biographies and this one is very well written, easy to read and really funny.

Yesterday, while shopping I found the book about the band Jane's Addiction. It was laying in the sale rack of the Fnac for just three euro's. I couldn't let it there for such a price and started reading straight away on the train.

As promised, here's my outfit from Tiany's event earlier this week.

That day I had a problem with deciding what I was going to wear. As I, and many other girls, have frequently.

I ended up in a Minnie Mouse inspired outfit.

I know for a lot of people this look is too costumey, childish or even plain ugly.

But I couldn't care less. I was always the girl who wore "crazy" outfits. I just dare to wear them, it's as simple as that. If I'm choosing something, I'm not going to worry about other people opinions.

I'm all about challenges and so it is with fashion too.

And believe me, this is not to pull attention to my persona. This is just me.

So, that day I ended up with this polka dot blouse that I just bought in a vintage shop and just ended up pilling the rest of the clothes around it. This is how I ended up looking kind of like a cartoon figure :)

This week me and various other bloggers attended the press launch of Tiany Kiriloff's mini-collection for Vero Moda. Tiany is a local fashion journalist and is well known for her impeccable sense of style. The venue where the launch was held, was truly breathtaking. The whole atmosphere was breathing: "This is a dream coming true" and so it was for her.

To celebrate her collection a tea-party was held with many, many sweets to satisfy us, girls.

After some exhausting hours of class me and my friend headed to town.

The weather was extraordinary! We always have a nice time, as best friends don't need much, but still. We had lunch and deserts, afterwards we went vintage shopping.

I found the most incredible black vintage ball gown, for a crazy price.

I was screaming: "This looks like vintage Chanel" the whole time. Obviously being pretty excited.

Now I only need a ball or a royal wedding or a red carpet to attend :)

Just another casual look, I was wearing my new jeans shorts. This is officially my shortest item of clothing. I'm afraid you can't go any shorter without ending up in your underwear.

Anyway, I looked for a suitable pair for a while and these shorts won my heart.

I'm sure all of you have blogging patterns, the frequency of your posts, your favorite locations to take pictures, outfit strategies. We don't always kiss and tell and I'd be a liar if I say that I don't think my looks through and don't try to make the best of it. But I have my boundaries. I'm not going to pretend that I run on high heels, which are definitely represented in my wardrobe, every day when I walk out of the door. I don't. Mainly because I don't drive and going to college in heels is not my thing. Also, have u ever walked on middle age stone pavements in heels?! Let me tell u it's not such an easy thing even while wearing flats.

Mostly, I take my outfit pictures on week ends, because I have a chance to dress up or just time to do so. Because my weeks are very hectic and busy I try to wear "easy" clothes, but the ones that are still "me". I don't like to go up the mass, but turning heads on regular days isn't my goal either. Just trying to maintain a personal look, without exaggerating, well mostly :)

So this time I decided to show u what I usually wear on a week day.

This look is simple, but still dressed. Though I'm not a big jeans wearer, I became quiet attached to this pair. Not only are they quiet comfortable, but can also be worn with many different items.

In my daily outfits I still prefer darker shades with a pop of color from time to time.

The big bag, that can hold all the college stuff, is a daily part of the outfit. For shoes I often go for simple brogues, flats or black leather all stars.

While I'm already back at college full time (and not happy about it) I still am thinking of the warm holidays I had for three weeks. We were blessed with exceptional weather, it even felt like summer. I even have a little tan now, well, maybe just a normal skin color.

Not only I will remember the weather, but all of the wonderful days I spent with my bf and friends.

This has been one unforgettable spring break and I have my mind set on summer already.

Unfortunately the weather is back to being gray and rainy, as well as my mood due to endless deadlines. But at least I always have my memories to treasure and the weekends to look forward to.

Here's a little review of my past weekend. Sun, soap bubbles and love is apparently all I need, well and a nice song to listen too.

Easter colors

Well, first of all Happy Easter to all of u!

I hope u had a nice day whether u celebrate or not. I surely did!

We've been blessed with nice weather for a whole week and today was no exception. It was more than 30°C in the sun, which is a lot here and especially in april.

Despite of a late night, we got up early to enjoy a day with the family.

Also, for the first time in my life, I was part of the egg hunt. The lucky girl who got a lot of eggs is my bf's niece, who's just two years old. So for her it was the first time too. She's the most adorable child I've ever seen!

For today I picked a bright colored outfit, which reflects my current mood. As u can see I am a person of the extremes when it comes to color choice and maybe not that alone ;)

The neighbors cat, Rik, also paid a visit. He's a really friendly and curious cat with whom I play a lot in the garden. He was a real fan of my shoes!

Egg overload

A touch of heaven

The beach and the see were actually my favorite part of the trip.

To see the sky and water so blue and clear, to swim in the sea and lay down in the sand was like a little part of heaven. I even have a little tan now, which is a rare thing, 'cause I can't tan in Belgium.

Seeing our see this week, made me kind of sad. All gray, so was the sky, but despite the cold weather filled with people. Europeans are some mad people at times.

Anyways, here's a part of heaven for u. The pictures were taken on the last day of our trip.

Tunisia part I

So, a few days ago I returned home from Tunisia.

Although the trip was a lot of fun, I missed home and was glad to be back!

We had the luxury to stay in a five star hotel with a nice service and an exit right to the see.

It's already warm there so we had the chance to sunbathe and swim in the pool and the sea.

Next to long visit to clothing manufacturers, we also visited local markets and some remarkable places as the ancient amphitheatre in El Jem, built in the 2nd century by the Romans.

Some scenes from the Gladiator with Russel Crowe were filmed there!

Off course the contrast between touristic and local zone's was pretty big, but I enjoyed both.

But most of all I enjoyed the sun and good weather, because it's just the thing I miss living in Belgium.

Just in a few hours I'll be on airplane, flying to Tunesia for a seven day school trip.

I'm both excited and nervous, I hope the signs of the revolution that took place recently, are close to minimal. Unfortunately this trip is not just about fun, but mostly visiting clothing manufacturing factories, which is quiet boring.

Anyway, I leave you with the shots of a shoot from last year. I had to wait for the pictures for quiet some time, but I still like them. And yes, the spider was real! He was lovely and I wasn't scared of it. A funny fact is that the spider has the same name as my boyfriend :) The spider was of the photographer who took the pictures.

The shots were taken for a student of fashion academy and a former class mate, Charlotte Smet.

This week me and my girls came together to celebrate the birthday and a new job of our best friend Margot.

Because I don't see them very often, I'm always very excited.

This time I've got to spend lot's of time with my Marge (this is one of the names I call her). First we did some shopping, in the evening we had dinner and afterwards I spend the night at her place.

In the morning we had the chance to catch up and enjoy the sun in her beautiful garden.

After a busy week all I wanted to relax and feel cosy this weekend.

And this is what I did by spending quality time with the bf, watching my favorite tv series, reading and sleeping.

No need to dress up when u're lying on the couch. I wore my new favorite knitted sweater.

But I still decided to snap some pictures, because the weather outside was an absolute blast.

I wore: Oversized sweater from Zara, cat eye sunnies from Pieces, vintage boots.

There's another busy week ahead. But on tuesday I'll meet up with my favorite girls for a dinner.

I'm absolutely obsessed with colorful accessories and these headphones are no exception. Oh, how I'd like to have a whole range of colors to choose from every day. The spring is here, I feel it in the air. This weekend was a first time I went outside without a coat, couldn't really believe it at the moment.

As it gets warmer, my heart longs for some color. I'm tired of all this black.

Especially orange, it can make me happy just by looking at it.

I decided to start early and incorporate some colors into my,

overall black, daily look.

Especially for this occasion I borrowed a sweater from my best friend,

I'm just so in love with it! I'm glad with the results, this outfit made me feel pretty happy!

Recently I've been invited to the home of the amazing Murielle Scherre to see and hear all about her new collection called "Subtitles". For the ones who don't know her, it's about time u get to know her she's a Belgian lingerie designer and her line is called La Fille d'O.

She designs for true girls and women, who are comfortable in their own bodies no matter what size they are.

Among her fans are strong women such as Juliette Lewis & M.I.A.

Not only does her lingerie looks amazing and seductive, it's über comfortable and more important, thought about. She doesn't make compromises for her designs, no matter how difficult the patterns and sewing process, the garments always look impeccable. The seams of the pieces accentuate the female forms instead of cutting them in two. Every detail is there for a reason. All of her garments are made in Belgium, an aspect that's rare to find in the times of mass outsourcing.

Being invited to her home/store was a great honor for me, because I've been a fan of her work since the starting days. We met with some other bloggers over tea and some sweets and afterwards she told as about her brand and collection. Afterwards a fitting session followed.

I must admit, though I dreamed of the pieces from all the previous collection, I never had the chance to buy or try them on. After doing so that day, a whole new world opened up for me.

Her pieces really do have it all and I'll be saving up for some sweets for myself.
