Purple/pink ombre rainbow

Some pleasant things have been happening here. I had my first official publication as a stylist in Elegant Magazine a second publication is confirmed for Spring and I'm working on some great projects in the meantime. Now I'm even more happy, because the so longed for rainbow ombre is here at last and I'm never washing my hair again.
I wish I could! I'm very pleased with the results and hope to prolong the ombre's life.
Tons of dry shampoo to the rescue. I'd totally appreciate a dry shampoo sponsor, anyone?!
So would Annebeth, btw. After the hair dressers appointment we met up to take pictures. It's actually a bit funny how obsessed we both are with our hair. 'I'm my hair' totally describes me.

I just love how my natural hair color, gradients into purple and goes to fuchsia and lighter accents from there.
My hair has been done again by Stéphanie from Bed Head in Antwerp.

Non-existing Winter and Studs Kopen

Winter has been perfect so far. No snow, and now temperatures bellow 0°C. Me sporting a tee in January is solid proof. Okay, it's not like I really walk outside with no coat, but it was bearable. I hope we don't get shit loads of snow in February or in March. In my mind I'm already preparing for Summer festivals and an unmissable detail of a Metal festival is a sleeveless jeans jacket. I'm sure you've seen those Metal dudes walking around. I always wanted one for myself and finally found the time to start making one. Not from scratch, off course, not that crazy here. I picked up a perfect short, ripped version at H&M, sewed a patch from one of my favorite bands, HIM, on the back and added some studs. The studs were kindly given to me by a friend who happens to sell them. I'm not finished pimping my vest, you can never have enough studs, if you ask me.

If you live in Belgium or Netherlands and interested in buying studs (studs kopen in het Nederlands dus), feel free to check out the webshop of my friend StudsNSpikes.

Time to sleep now to save up some energy. I'm the worst at falling asleep before midnight, but the best one at being miserable at work for having not enough sleep.

Change For the Better: Part III

I am still working at my Special K pledge to get fit. After shoving it away for years, this challenge was exactly what I needed to kick my butt. It's that extra motivation  that I needed to start working out.
And I'm proud to say that I made a huge milestone in my life, that is the gym. I wanted to go to the gym for years, but lack of time, money or general laziness always stopped me. I've been to the gym before, but not on a regular basis. I do plan to do that now, at least once a week. That's not a lot, but it's better than nothing.
I will be forced to work out over the weekend (as I'm at my bf in the weekends) and drag my boyfriend with me, because I don't think working out alone is for me. I do hope to be able to go more frequently as we finally move in to our new house.

I must tell I had major fun at the gym, we worked out for about an hour. From which I spent 25 min. cycling. The bf is kind of a bike freak, and I can't run due to weak knees, so cycling is the perfect solution.
I expected to be broken and sore the next day, but I was only sore in my neck and shoulders from lifting weights. My legs were totally normal, so I guess lot's of stairs at work paid off.

I have also been working on my abs at home, every day. Kind of proud of myself.
And this is me, lifting some weights in my kick ass Crashdïet shirt.

My two favorite things

So today I'm gonna show you two new items ,from my wardrobe, I'm absolutely addicted to.
First the leopard Zara coat you recently saw on my 2014 wishlist. I didn't hesitate and bought it the first day of the sales. I didn't want to wait and risking it selling out in my size. Though I don't think such a statement coat is very popular among the casual Belgian crowd.
The only minor, HAIR EVERYWHERE! And I hate hair or fibers on my black clothing. But the coat is so fab, I can live with it. I hope the fur will stay pretty, though, because I wear it quite a lot.

And my second favorite item is also my most expensive wardrobe possession and the thing I'm truly obsessed with: my very first designer bag! I long doubted which bag to buy. Alexander Wang's Rocco is long on my wishlist, but then I saw this beauty and went for it. My first D-bag is from Karl Lagerfeld. I kind of wandered into the Antwerp store and fell in love. And lemme tell you, this bag is one big advantage. The price is still reasonable, the chances of bumping into someone with the same bag are very slim (unlike Balenciaga's bags f.e.), it's classy, but cool, so it suits most of my looks and it's pretty spacious and holds my camera perfectly.

A LBD outfit to start the year and why we need them?!

Technically the outfit is still from last years Christmas dinner (the cheat!). I didn't came to post it before the year wrapped up, so here it comes. The dress I'm wearing is one of the first sale finds.
I went shopping not planning on buying ANY black dresses, but what do you think?! I ended up with one.
My excuse? It was only 15 euros and reminded me of Versace. I'm glad I bought it, but I seriously need to get that LBD addiction under control.

I never counted how many LBD's I have, but I imagine having at least 20 (oops). I guess an LBD rehab is right in order after a coat rehab. I also happened to buy a new coat and get another LBD as present. There's no returning from here. I'm planning on a major closet cleaning action tomorrow. Room has to be made, stuff has to go.
Am I alone in this or does anyone else have a LBD problem? They are just sooo easy to wear!

2013 Outfits

I must admit, I love looking back at my outfits of the past year. Always nice to see how your style or that of your fave blogs have evolved the past year. So here're are almost all off mine, in a random order, cause that's just more fun! I'm quiet surprised of all the colors there.

So, which outfit has been your favorite?
