La Fille d'O x JBC x Royal Ballet of Flanders

My favorite Belgian lingerie brand La Fille d'O stepped out with high street collaboration.
Last Friday I attended the press launch of a collection of sports clothes.
The collaboration between La Fille d'O, JBC, Think Pink and The Royal Ballet of Flanders intends to make the women move more to prevent breast cancer.

The collection is all about soft materials which give the body the comfort it needs during a workout. Perfect for pilates, yoga, fitness or dancing.
The presentation was held at the Royal Ballet and was far from usual. We had the unique opportunity to see the female ballet dancers during their morning practice, in LFd'O gear.

I always admired ballet dancers, they combine grace and power like no one else can.
Watching them so closely was magical. Seeing their muscles work and their body's twirl in most amazing pirouettes made me wish I was a ballerina too. But then it was lunch time and I ate two desserts and forgot all about it :D

My favorite thing about the collection are the galaxy prints!

The campaign video is pretty swell too!

The collection is now available at all JBC stores. Can't wait to pick some things out this week!

Zillion layers

Still, never ending layers of comfy knits. As long as it's so cold.
Wrapping myself like a ridiculous knit and faux fur present. With this deceitful sunshine, still freezing outside.
What I don't love is a brain freeze.
Get's pretty boring after a few months though. So ready to move on!

Happy Blog Birthday

Someone's blog baby just has turned 4 years. I really can't believe it, the years flew by.
I didn't think it would come this far. Older and wiser now. Who knows how long it'll be around?!
But while it's still here, might as well call in for some celebration, with cake and bubbles. As no real celebration must go without.

So throw your hands in the air, celebrate with me and read that blog!

Moscato is my new favorite drink. Discovered last year, ridiculously cheap and delicious!

My V-day flowers came in handy too :)

Still freezing

This is me braving the cold temperatures and freezing wind all for the sake of this blog and you, my readers.
This heroic deed at least deserves a little applause, don't you think?
I'm messing with you, well, just a little bit :)
I also made an effort to leave the house again. Old scenario, me, bestie, coffee and cake.

These pictures were taken in front of one of my favorite buildings in Ghent, Post Plaza. Unfortunately, besides a pasta bar, it has been empty for a few years already. A real shame if you ask me. I'm not sure what they're planning to do with it. It's future has been uncertain.
Now that I think of it, I should've taken pictures of the building itself, but I really was freezing there.
Well, maybe next time.

Graphic trench

Ahoy, mates!
I'm camping at home, trying to leave my house as less as possible, waiting till these cold days are over. See, unemployment also has it's bright sides. Waking up around noon is not a luxury to me anymore. I don't have to stress about deadlines or exams and I can finally read more and I'm in the middle of Fashion Week while in pj's! But hopefully with warmer days also a job will finally be found. My hands are ice cold while I'm typing this and not even a heating device can warm me up. But all things come to an end and so will this winter.

Cheating the winter with a more spring appropriate outfit here. If you travel by car and don't need to be outside for more than a few minutes, you can wear whatever you want.
I wanted to wear my new trench badly, I bought it at the end of last year, but it was/still is too cold.
It was a real bargain, marked off at the sales and also buy two pieces for the price of one. I also got a sweater, still need to wear it too. I just don't leave the house that often anymore.

Wearing: Forever 21 trench, H&M tights, Doc Martens boots, Traditional Russian wool scarf, Twice As Nice ring, Ray-Ban Laramie sunglasses.

Always loved and always will love stripes.

Queen of the damned

Few months ago I posed for the lovely Laura Sheridan. It was our first time shooting together, but I enjoyed it a lot. Easy and fun to work with and great results afterwards. I used to do more shoots in the past, but the lack of time brought it to the minimum. Hope to do some more this year.

We did two sets together, one in color, one black and white. I did my own make-up and styling.
My friend Nele from The Public Image let me lend some of the amazing items from her store.

And this is how the black and white set turned out.

Dries Van Noten S/S13

Spring is not that far away and looking forward to warmer temperatures just makes it more bearable. I'm not focusing on what the trends for next winter are. Only looking forward to summer.

The revival of the grunge look and immortal Kurt Cobain memories. How would a grown up female Nirvana fan look nowadays? She probably traded her heavy Doc. Martens for elegant heels and the wool tartans for elegant silk. Looking more lady like, but a bit rebellious, still mixing prints as the best.

This is which impression the spring show of Dries Van Noten gave me. Absolutely love the soft hues and flowy silk garments.

Bad Kid

Even without an occasion, I love to dress up. My new JC Lita's are perfect to pop a casual outfit.
These shoes make me feel like a rockstar. I will not lie, I love studs, leather, fur and crucifixes. Gaga's 'Bad Kids', which is like an anthem to me, makes me wanna dance and hop around in my leather pants and lita's. Such outfits is like a base to me, what comes most natural. This might be the total opposite of most people, but this is how I always felt.

And I totally don't give a damn looking like this while walking through a country side.

Wearing: Vila faux fur coat, H&M 'Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' sweater, Guns N' Roses band shirt, Margiela x H&M leather pants, Jeffrey Campbell Lita's, Asos earrings, Twice As Nice Ring.

Might be sound weird, but these are one of the easiest pair of heels to walk in!
