Margot De Troyer

Today I present you my first favorite collection from the Academy of Ghent.
This collection belongs to my beloved friend Margot, who just graduated.
She wrote a short introduction for the collection:

A Red Wisj

This collection was inspired by the world of the whirling dervishes, by their ethnical costume, the transformation while they dance their ceremony. I created a red universe for my women, where there is a fine line between a trashy sexy woman and an elegant one.
The women provoke with their red clothes made out of see through fabrics, but still maintain a certain elegance and mystery. The pieces are quite sober with not to many fringes, this falls in one line with the simple clothing the dervishes wear daily.

V/R

Today I went to see The Dolls of Viktor & Rolf at a gallery in Antwerp.
I was so excited when I read that this exhibition was coming to us, because V&R are one of my favorite duo designers ever! Their work is so surreal and elegant, just what I like.
All the dolls except one were displayed behind glass, so they were tricky to photograph.
The clothes really show the workmanship of the house, they were impeccably made.
Such a doll would be a perfect addition to any good interior, sigh*

So, here's an outfit post, that's been a while, right?! :)
It was my bf's birthday yesterday and we celebrated by going to the movies with some friends to see Toy Story 3 ( one of the best cartoons of all time! )
I wore a head to toe Zara outfit. I never thought I would wear or could pull off such pants, but I'm happy I bought them. They have a classic feel without being boring.
Last week I bought one of the most desirable accessories for me. Remember the LV's Mechanical Pearls collection? Well, I was dying to get the hair pin, but it was too expensive for something small. I almost cried out of happiness when I saw a beautiful replica at H&M. I can't even describe how happy I was. It must be pretty silly, but still. Small moments like these make a girl happy.

Wearing: Zara pants, top & shoes, H&M hair pin & clutch.

Backstage at the Fashion Academy of Ghent

Here is some backstage footage from the Ghent Fashion departement.
I was a model for one of my friends who just finished studying there.
The atmosphere is always pretty nice, especially if you're surrounded by the people you know.
The 3rd and 4th year did a great job on their collections!

My wonderful friend Nathalie, for whom I modeled
